Seminary Authority

At present the Pontifical Institute of Theology and Philosophy Alwaye (PIA) functions in the structers of  two magerseminaries: Mangalapuzha and Carmelgiri.  The Seminary Authorities consists of the Rectors, the Vice Rectors, the Procurators and the Teaching Staff of Mangalapuzha and Carmelgiri Seminaries.

Teaching Staff

The teachers of the faculty have to be minimum qualified with licentiate and/or equipped with doctorate either in theology or in philosophy.

The Course of Philosophy extends over a period of three years for non-graduates and two years for graduates

The Course leading to the Degree of Bachelor of Theology extends over seven semesters

Context of the Colloquium

The Church has been making  efforts to foster dialogue between religions and cultures since the Vatican Council II. The Colloquium  explores questions regarding  synthesis of Faith and Culture in our contemporary world.
